How Our Pricing Works
At Canadian Designated Drivers, we use a modern, transparent pricing model based on the actual trip you take — not a flat or one-size-fits-all rate.
Each fare is calculated using three components:
-
- Base Fare – Covers dispatching your drivers and getting to your location
- Distance – Based on how far we drive your vehicle
- Time – Based on how long the trip takes, including traffic and conditions
This ensures your fare reflects the real distance and time involved in your trip.
Why Prices May Occasionally Change
Fuel costs can fluctuate over time. When they do, we adjust only the distance portion of our pricing — because fuel is directly tied to distance travelled.
We do not increase base fees or time rates unnecessarily.
This keeps pricing balanced, predictable, and fair.
Just as importantly, when fuel prices decrease, we apply the same method in reverse — adjusting the distance portion downward so your fare reflects current conditions.
What This Means for You
-
- Short trips are not overcharged
- Longer trips are priced appropriately
- Pricing remains consistent and explainable
Our goal is simple:
Fair pricing based on real-world conditions — every time.
