Over the last few months of 2025, Canadian Designated Drivers  carefully underwent an in depth review and updating of how we calculate individual fares. Our goal: to provide a fairer, more transparent, and consistent pricing system for every ride.

We’ve transitioned from our older hourly-rate method to a modernized “Base Fare + Distance + Time” model, similar to what leading ride-share companies like Uber, and Logistics Companies use. This structure ensures each fare accurately reflects the true distance and time of your trip — rather than relying on flat fees or variable per-kilometer charges.

While some competitors still use flat or distance-only pricing models, our new system delivers consistent, predictable, and transparent pricing for every customer.  Because our pricing is based on actual distance and time—not flat or discretionary rates—customers frequently pay less for the same trip.”
